This round image tool circle-crops your photo into a clean round avatar with transparent corners — the exact format profile fields, badges and team pages expect. Drop the image, download the circle.
The crop takes the largest centered circle that fits your image, so nothing important sits in the corners anyway. Everything runs in your browser.

Why Every Platform Wants a Circle — and How to Feed Them
Profile pictures are displayed as circles nearly everywhere now — LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, GitHub, email signatures, team pages — but most tools still accept a square upload and slice it blindly. Upload a wide photo and the platform crops the middle strip; your subject's head gets shaved. The reliable move is to supply the circle yourself: a square, center-cropped image masked to a circle with true transparent corners, which is exactly what this tool produces. What you upload is what every platform shows.
The tool takes the largest circle that fits inside your image, centered. For portraits, that usually frames the face correctly by default. If the composition matters — the subject off to one side, or a group photo where you want one person — crop to a square around the subject first with the Crop Image tool, then come back and round it. Two steps, ten seconds, full control.
Output is always PNG, because the rounded shape only works with real transparency — corners that appear white in the preview would print and composite as white squares everywhere else. The PNG opens in every profile field, badge generator and design tool; where a platform flattens it (some email clients), it lands on white cleanly.
The mask is applied in your browser: decode, center-crop, clip to a circle, save. Your original file is untouched and nothing is uploaded — sensible for the photo you are about to publish next to your name.
Frequently Asked Questions
That is what makes the image genuinely round — platforms and designs place it on any background and only the circle shows. White corners would appear as a square.
Not in this tool — it takes the centered circle. Crop a square around your subject first with the Crop Image tool, then round the result.
The diameter equals the shorter side of your image — a 4000×3000 photo yields a 3000px circle. Resize afterwards if a platform needs an exact pixel size.
All of them — LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, GitHub, Twitter/X and every CMS treat it as a normal image that happens to be round with transparency.
Not in this tool — it makes circles. Squares, rounded rectangles and other masks need a design tool.
No — the circle crop runs entirely in your browser.
